2004 & 2005 COLTS

Broken Back Ranch Quarter Horses

Below you will see AQHA, AQHA Appendix, APHA and Grade Quarter Horse colts for sale. The following "Grade" colts are not "Grade" because I somehow "failed to register my mares or colts" or "failed to pass their papers on to the new owners". Some of my brood mares are grade solely because their dams, grand dames, great grand dames, etc. were grade Quarter Horses and Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred crosses. These grade colts descended from working ranch & cow horses passed down from my father, grandfather and great grandfather's horses. Notice that the majority of the grade colt's pedigrees consist of registered AQHA stock with foundation & performance bloodlines.

Please read the write-up on the home page for more information and a detailed explanation of our past and current breeding program!

Ground work in progress August 2006.  His first saddling went great!  He finally

bucked 15 minutes after he'd been wearing the saddle!  Got it over with and hasn't bucked

during ground work since.  Lead him/or ponied him with saddle on for a long ride August

16th, 2006.  More ground work taking place daily.

*Got on him in August 06 and climbed on and off both sides.

Haven't had much time to get back to work with him since then.

**NEW**

TRAINING NOTES:  8/6/09 -

I have been riding Jack since his return from the trainer on 7/24/09.

He is a smooth, enjoyable ride!  Fast walk, rocking horse lope, ground covering trot.

I have had absolutely no trouble with him and I am a 44 year old woman with Rhuematoid Arthritis!!  He is really a fun horse to ride!

Goes anywhere I ask him to, but what else would you expect from a ranch raised horse!

It does make a difference! He is very athletic, no non-sense and wants to

get out and cover the country.  He'd make an excellent ranch horse, rope horse,

trail riding and barrel racing prospect.

I am selling him only to make money.  There is nothing wrong with him.

I will probably ride in the mountains moving cattle from pasture to pasture this summer (2009) and he will also get plenty of time behind cattle this fall.

I rarely sell broke horses so if you are interested in him, don't dilly

dally around!  My price will not go down!

I've owned Jackie since the day he was born and it would be just as easy

to keep him for the rest of his life.

** Sired by Ten Sleep Foxy Bar, AQHA Appendix Blood Bay Stallion - 16 Hands

Out of Jester Lito (APHA Sorrel Overo Mare) - 14.2 to 14.3 Hands **

This colt is as perfect as they come! Four solid black hooves! Balanced conformation! Loves attention! Good disposition is a typical quality in KC's colts every year and this one's got a great disposition!. Spunky attitude!  He rules the colt corral! I have no doubts that he'll be a cowy colt!  Fine stallion prospect for sure!  Check out his pedigree!
And no... my price is not too high!  He'll easily pay for himself the first year you breed him!

He's got foundation bred horses on both sides!

Sire - SPOOOKY RIP - 14.2 hands - Gray
Dam - Silver Fire Barleo - 15. 1 & 1/2 hands - Blood Bay

Vaccinations:  1st West Nile given on March 19th, 2007

Booster West Nile given on April 9th, 2007.

This colt is the biggest boned colt of the crop this year. Well muscled, balanced conformation,

likes attention, extremely calm disposition. Raised on the mountain his first summer of 2005 and

he came off our mountain pastures without a scratch on him!  To me that says allot about his

common sense.  It's rough country up there!   4 solid black hooves, no white markings. If you need

a big, soggy built colt for the roping arena someday this colt should fit the bill nicely. His dam is a

flashy, nice looking mare with good bone, height and overall eye appeal!

His disposition is priceless and he's got tons of common sense!

Serious calf & team ropers, heads up on this colt!

Extended pedigree on his dam's side includes Collins James, Poco Bubble, Lingering Buck,

Tonto's Trixy, Branding Fire, Goodnuff's Dusty, Cozzen Joe Leo and Jay Bar's Choice and Wimpy.

His sire's (Spooky Rip) side speaks for itself!

APHA Name:  CIMMARON DELL
Nickname: Rosie

2005 APHA Red Roan Breeding Stock Filly

APHA # 844,813
Foaled:  April 21, 2005

In State Price:  $750

Rosie is a classic cutting prospect or kid horse prospect! She would be a great 4H project! Smaller built filly with lots of eye appeal. Her sire stands 14.1 and dam is 14.2. I expect Rosie to be 14.1 at maturity. Perfect disposition and a well balanced conformation. Straight legs, small feet, short back, big hind quarter muscles and a nice front end. Finer boned filly despite her dam's stocky quarter horse build. Raised in the hills and mountains around plenty of cows. They don't come any sharper than this filly, all around. Give her a chance to compete in shows or pack your kids around!

Keen, classy solid gray filly. Four solid black hooves, short back, good bone.

This colt would make an excellent barrel prospect! I ride his oldest brother and he is one fast horse! Speed is a family tradition in this colt's maternal pedigree and this has included his full siblings, not to mention the ever consistent good looks that runs in the family! His dam is the lead mare of the herd! They don't earn that position by being slow!  Don't need to say more!

GRAY PONY

2005 Grade Gray Gelding

Photos Above Taken July 27th, 2006

Fancy's 2005 Grade Gray Gelding

"GRAY PONY"

Foaled:  May 10th, 2005

Halter Broke, Loads, Trims easily, Catches easily!

Gentle, easy going colt.  Might not be over 14.1 or 14.2 Hands at maturity.

Small bump of Epitithisitis on right front ankle, bumps on right knee,

small scar on right knee, scar on right hock.

Cosmetic only as far as I can tell.

Weak or down in the pasterns as a foal, possibly causing the Epithisitis.

Later he got a cut or bite on the hock and knee in May/June 2005

while running out in our big breeding season pastures.

No lameness visible now.  No clue what will happen when you ride him.

See Brood Mare page for Pedigree - Snowflake's Fancy or "Fancy"

Gray Pony's sire is Spooky Rip.

*Wolf teeth removed spring 2006!

Price:  $500 in Wyoming, $550 out of state to get Coggins & Health done.

Gray Pony is a full brother to "Roni" pictured on the Sold Colts page,

and our precious 12 yr old ranch gelding, Leo, pictured below

Quality disposition in this line!  Hard to go wrong with a colt

out of this cross!  Kid prospects, cutting, roping, all around ranch horses.

**Leo (pictured below) is NOT EVER for sale!
